Crack In Concrete
Hello Friends, Today I am going to share about the cracks in concrete, what are the cause and what are the precaution .We all see around us after the some time of pouring of fresh concrete there are some cracks are develop in the concrete so what are the factor behind the cracking of concrete we are discussing .
1. EXCESS OF WATER IN CONCRETE MIX.
Excess of water in concrete mix play a vital role in causing crack in fresh concrete. When
Concrete mix with water there is a process of hydration start, If for the process of hydration
water available in excess amount then there is concrete become more liquid, and due to the
liquid concrete ,concrete does not get strength properly and the bleeding and segregation of
concrete gets start, In the process of hydration the excess water evaporates and concrete get
Shrink due to the shrinkage concrete gets crack.
PRECAUTION:-
For the precaution of concrete crack due to excess water use measured and required quantity of water, not more or not less than the required quantity of water.
2. IMPROPER COMPACTION OF CONCRETE.
After placing concrete in an area it is required to place the concrete with full compaction for getting the maximum strength. If there are not given good compaction to the concrete , concrete gets start to crack after some time of placing.
PRECAUTION:-
For removing the effect of bad compaction effect use vibrator for the compaction of concrete and try to minimum use of hand compaction for the concrete placing and also don’t try to use the extra compaction to the concrete it is also cause of crack .
3. RAPID DRAYING OF CONCRETE.
Rapid draying is also a cause of crack of concrete. In some area there are the weather condition is not good for the concreting , In hot areas concrete gets start rapidly draying due to the rapid draying of concrete the water in the concrete mix is getting start to evaporating and the capillary pores are start to develop in concrete due to the capillary pores the strength of concrete decreases and the concrete start to crack. The chemical reaction in the concrete mix start after week or later the time of pouring for these chemical reaction concrete need the water else it will crack.
PRECAUTION.
For the prevention of rapid draying of concrete effect use the curing by giving necessary amount of water to the concrete to reduce the effect of evaporation of water from the concrete mix.
4. TEMPRATURE VARIATIOJN
Temperature changes play a vital role in the cracking of concrete. Concrete has the property to expand at the day time when temperature is relatively high. And shrink at the night time when the temperature is relatively low. Due to this expansion and contraction concrete gets start to crack.
PRECAUTION.
To prevent from the effect of the temperature maintain the surrounding temperature of freshly poured
